Citrus is a chain of hotels and resorts which has marked its presence in 10 most prominent cities of India. They are known for their vivid colors, kingly comfort, majestic grandeur and fresh ambiance which has a mix of both business class and a casual outlook. One visit to their property and you know that hospitality is best in class here, its all about the experience and memories. I was in Citrus, Cunningham Road for a bloggers meet on a Saturday evening, the venue for which was Skylit – A very cosy and relaxed roof top restaurant.
LOCATION:
Take the Cunningham Main road after crossing Balekundri circle/signal and then you will find the vibrant Citrus restaurant on your left side. The hotel is 300m before Sigma mall, so make sure you keep a good watch at it.
AMBIANCE: The moment you enter you are greeted by extremely elegant looking interiors. Skylit is located on 5th floor and the ambiance here is totally different from what was seen downstairs. Skylit engulfs you into its calm surroundings in a very positive way, this definitely qualifies to be called as a romantic place. Outside seating area is dimly lit and is covered shades of blue light all around, this is also the place where your starters and drinks are served. Buffet counter is housed lightly inside. Open bar counter faces the restaurant and houses two massive projector displays airing your favorite sport.
FOOD & BEVERAGES:
We were actual late for the meet and had missed out on initial set of starters, but what my fellow bloggers told me was that each and every dish that came in was prepared to perfection. The new menu has a massive count of 16 starters, 8 vegetarian and 8 non vegetarian. Main course and dessert section here talks a lot about the variety available here.

Tequila Sunrise

Mohito
We started off by trying the Virgin Mohito and Tequila Sunrise, a drink made from Orange juice and Tequila, though later on stuck to the ever refreshing beer to enjoy the cool breeze outside.

Achari Mushroom (L) and Broccoli dipped in Cheese (R)
Appetizers has some interesting dishes like Crispy fried Prawns, Murg Malai Tikka, Mutton Seekh Kebab, Bagha Crab for non vegetarians and Zaffrani Paneer Tikka, Bharwan Tandoori Aloo along with a mushroom and broccoli based starter for the vegetarians.

Jalapeno with Egg
Main course too comes in XL sized options. I was actually full and hence could taste just Biryani, Veg Pulao, Mutton Rogan Josh and Schezwan Noodles (Veg), all of which were prepared well.

Mutton Seekh

Subz Shammi
Dessert lovers wont feel left out either as the spread is extensive and covers some of the most famous preparations like Shahi Tukda, Rasgulla, Milk Burfi, Gaja, Apple Peda and assorted pastries.

Gaja
Overall, our visit here was filled with fun and a lot of interesting conversations. The massive spread available here caters to every taste and the amount of variety you get will surely bring a smile on your face. For more details you can visit Citrus website by clicking here.

Will def try it next when I go to Bangalore. It so happens that when we go to a restaurant with an exotic menu, we are confused what to order. We have only one meal and so much space in the stomach:((. Now I am glad to know how each dish looks like and can order easier!

That’s exactly the reason I try to cover almost all the dishes in a restaurant.. Really happy that you liked the concept.. thank you so much 🙂
