Food is one of the basic necessities for any living being, but what happens when the same food becomes a billion dollar market worldwide? Well, that’s when different ventures and ideas take birth which try to simplify problems associated with everything that revolves around food business. I was present at the grand launch of the ChefPost which was nothing short of a page 3 event.
Zomato was one of the first most successful ventures which massively helped the common people, then came in apps like Swiggy and Foodpanda which improvised the delivery model associated with these restaurants. Lately we saw online food delivery startups which have no physical presence as such but are known to serve lip smacking food right to your door steps. This post here will talk about ‘The Chef Post’, a new online portal envisioning progression in the way food and food creators are presented to the food enthusiasts.

Just before the launch!
Chef Post was launched amidst much fan fare in Krishna hall at the famous Shangri-La Hotel. We all gathered in and after a brief session of networking with the most special people from Bangalore’s culinary industry we settled down to observe the proceedings. Vinay Bharadwaj from the famous YouTube channel ‘Let’s talk with Vinay’ had a very interesting round of conversation on stage with actress Radhika Chetan, Co founder Sneha Chandrashekar and Executive chef Anthony En Yuan Huang of JW Marriott.

Sneha Chandrashekar, one of the co-founders & CEO of The Chef Post exclaims, “We are delighted to launch The Chef Post. We intend to bring out the information to our users that generally go unnoticed. When you know that chefs travel to various regional places to study culinary patterns or how you can request for a cook off with your favorite chef, know how they source ingredients from the places of origin, and much more, you would love to meet them in person and understand their ideologies behind the food they serve & relish your dining experience. It’s the story behind the making of the food that makes it an interesting dining experience. This is exactly what we intend to bring out with The Chef Post. We hope to connect the food creators to the food enthusiasts in the most effective way.”
This evidently shifts the focus on to the chefs and the entire concept is to bring them to the forefront, so what better way to start off with first-of-its-kind fashion show called ‘Men in White’. Chef Anupam Banerjee (Ritz Carlton), Chef Anthony En Yuan Huang (JW Marriott), Chef Marouane Rahali (Marriott Whitefield), Chef Rayomund Pardiwalla (Movenpick Hotel and Spa), Chef Naren Thimmaiah (Taj Gateway), Chef Giuseppe Lioce (Sheraton), Chef Lakbir Singh (Shangri-La Hotel), Chef Suvaranjan Banerjee (The Lalit Ashok), Chef Amit Gera (Hilton), Chef Mir Zafar Ali (The Leela Palace) and Chef Yogen Datta (ITC Gardenia) discarded their traditional whites, and were dressed in specially designed suits by PN Rao, as they took to the ramp!

Overall, I felt Chefpost is one much needed portal which provides a platform to get in touch with the guys who are responsible to serve us for the food that’s served in any restaurant. It is a website dedicated to food creators and to entice food lovers across the globe. You are presented with many special offers, competitions, access to recipes, events and much more upon signing up with Chefpost.
