The Chug – Garage Bar is one of the newest pubs in the town which is all set to engage a very different kind of audience, the bikers! Well, I must make it clear that this establishment does not promote mixing drinks with riding in any way, it is in fact built in such a way that any true biker from heart will relate to everything he/she sees inside. I was here for the launch party which saw the crowd groove to the beats of DJ Ivan. Read my experience to know more about this one of a kind bikers pub.
The swanky ambiance takes major cues from Royal Enfield, the legendary bike which has a cult following all over the world. One can find so many different parts of a bike embedded in the furniture and lighting that it can keep surely do a good job of keeping you busy.
The one thing which caught my attention right after entering the place was the massive dismantled Royal Enfield (Dessert Storm) hanging on the wall.
Their drinks menu here is quirky enough to keep the biker excitement alive as the drinks are classified based upon biking terms like heritage, horsepower, full tank, burn out and so on.

Cocktails
We started with a cocktail called Ash 350 which was sort of a mild mix of Basil leaves, litchi fruits in a rum base. Post this I stuck to my all time favorite – Beer, so it was Corona that accompanied me all throughout.

Quesadilla

Peri Peri Chicken Wings
Food options are well spread across various courses with decent number of options to choose from in each of them. We began with Bruschetta, Quesadilla and Peri Peri Chicken wings, my personal favorite here was the Quesadilla which had a delicious filling of Capsicum, Fried beans, Salsa and Guacamole.

Crumb Fried Chicken

Bruschetta
The Peri Peri Chicken wings were mildly spiced but since it carried the tag of Peri Peri I expected it to be a bit more on the spicier side. Nonetheless, we moved on to Crispy Corn, Beer battered fish and an Indian dish called Palakoora Garelu which is basically Dal vada.

Beer Battered Fish

Dal Vada
We were also served with crumb fried chicken and the version that came here looked entirely different from what we usually see, reason being here it is served as slices of chicken breast tossed with herbs and mustard and then presented to make it look like a tart!

Madras Curry Risotto
There are lot of options when it comes to main course which covers everything from Sandwiches to Noodles (Pastas, Pizzas and Risotto comes in between!). We set out to try the unique section here which is known as Customized Recipes.

Bangers and Mash
Madras Curry Risotto and Bangers & Mash made way to our tables, I liked Bangers and Mash which is juicy sausages served along with mashed potatoes and a gravy that is made from red wine. Since there was party atmosphere all around we decided to limit our bunging session and moved on to desserts.

Chocolate Truffle Cake

Deconstructed Tiramisu
Unfortunately I could not try all the desserts that was served, but I did manage to taste the Deconstructed Tiramisu and Chocolate Truffle Cake both of which were top notch and this ended our dinner on an extremely sweet note š
Overall, Chugs – Garage Bar can be your go to place if you are anywhere in this part of city which is currently devoid of any major pubs/lounges. In someways it is a blessing for people working (party going folks!) in Manyata Tech Park as Chugs is hardly a kilometer away from this massive tech park and has all the bells and whistles to keep you happy high. The biking elements found inside add a lot to the uniqueness to this place. Lately I have come across a lot of posts on their Facebook page which highlights various upcoming events/music band performances, so yes, do follow them to keep yourself updated.
Ridiculously-cool hangout.
