Bangalore is known as the Silicon Valley of India, obvious reasons being it is the epicenter of India’s Information Technology industry. This by default translates to setting up of major IT hubs (a.k.a Tech Parks), now these IT parks come under the category of most boring places and one would probably not even imagine visiting them unless it is their work location. Majority of companies have in house facilities which does the job of keeping their employees entertained, but again the diversity here is vast, for example Company-1 might have more recreational facilities and in house restaurants than Company-2. RMZ EcoWorld breaks the monotony here by including a first of its kind health lounge called Activ which provides space for social, health and sports activities… The tech park also houses an exclusive lifestyle zone called The Bay which offers premium dining and shopping options.
I was at RMZ EcoWorld on a weekday along with other blogger friends to get a first hand experience at Activ which was then followed by lunch at ‘The Bay’. Here are some facts and figures that sets RMZ Ecoworld apart from other tech parks in Bangalore, or wait in India! The entire IT Park is housed on a 54 Acres land, a total of 7.5 Million Square Feet of office space is built which eventually will accommodate approximately 75,000 employees. The tech park has 9 Acres of open landscaped public area, 19 office towers, 50 plus retail outlets, cultural spaces like amphitheater which can seat over 500 people and an art gallery.
We proceeded to Activ, the premium health club which features a swimming pool, basketball court, mini football areana and gym, all of which is housed on the rooftop.
Walk downstairs and you can find space for playing squash, room for physiotherapy and a section to indulge in some adventure 😛 yes, the place even has an Artificial rock climbing facility as well.
There is something called – CoWrks which is a large format shared office space that has been designed to stimulate a work culture that dwells on collaboration between like minded individuals. You can order coffee and other quick bites from a cafe here and enjoy it at your work space, the place also has meeting rooms with different capacities. If you are a startup or an individual contributor to the society then this space will definitely interest you.
We then walked down to ‘The Bay’ which is easily the best dining destination that I’ve seen in a tech parks till date. You can find assortment of restaurants serving international and local delicacies, confectioneries, bakeries and cafes. We got to try a lot of food here and I must say they scored well on quality front, let the pictures do the talking here!
Some famous brands that are soon going to mark their presence in ‘The Bay’ are: Health and Glow, Apple I Store, Tony & Guy, Fabric Spa, Gourmet FoodWorld, Harvest Market, Puro Gusto, Bliss, Just Falafel, Star Bucks, Spizzico, Subway, The Wine Circle, Dunken Donuts, Healthy Habits, Pappa Roti, Masale, Leon Grill, Hut Ke.
Currently KFC, Burritto Boys, 4 States (South Indian Veg Only), Taste of India (North Indian Non Veg), Noodles, Maa Vooru (Andhra style), Nutty Squirrel (Desserts and Ice Cream), Thanda Thanda (fresh fruit juice), Frankie, YoYo Yogurt and Rangola (Ice Gola) and Chai Point are live now.
Other premium restaurants which are about to open are – The Irish House, Chillis, Maharaja Bhog and Bombay Brasserie.
RMZ Ecoworld is no doubt the future of business, it uses top of the line sustainable technology to create value which helps in profitable development. I thank Harshavardhan Reddy for calling us over to experience all of this.
