Welcome to the first post of October!! It’s been quite a while since I covered a Café on my blog, these days it’s the pubs, new menu launches or food festivals that have been doing the rounds. So I immediately agreed to write about Moby Dick when I received an invite for the same, the café in question is located in one of the best spots in Koramangala 5^th Block. Mobydick is a  brand owned and promoted by Mysore Bakery & Restaurants Pvt Ltd that also owns Calvin’s, one of the finest Bakery and Patisserie that I have been frequenting since 2012.

Mobydick is surrounded by umpteen number of cafes and for some reason, I have been to almost all of them and somehow missed checking out this one. After this visit my perception has changed, for me, this is one of the very few cafes that I would rate highly… Why? Read on!!

This place has a menu that covers almost everything you would expect from your typical café visit, be it English, Continental, Oriental and Indian stuff, you name it and you have it here! To keep things simple, these guys are known for their mouth-watering steaks and sandwiches. I started my meal with the traditional thick crunchy Oreo shake and I can bet it was one of the best I have had in recent times, a good way to start but the drink is so nice and thick that it can reduce your appetite so beware, I know a lot of you out there expect this from your thick shake and you are not gonna get disappointed. Next up was the spicy spinach soup that is creamy all the way down with subtle flavors of spinach that blends well with the sweetness of the cream.

They have a separate section that can get you delicious pancakes, waffles or crepes. I had the waffle + caramel sauce + banana + whipped cream. Yes, this is one of the 364 other combinations you can get here as you can customise your order! We can do the maths later 😀

Order the peri peri chicken wings to give your meal a fiery twist, this was from the Must-Try New Additions Menu where Moby Dick has come up tons of interesting dishes. I would recommend you all to check it out, especially the Oriental options here which I am soon gonna try myself!

Next up was the insanely loaded Double Fried Egg Sandwich, it comes with potato wafers, the sandwich is perfectly grilled and super filling, it is one of the many value for money offering that also happens to be their USP.

I am a sucker for Thai Curry with Rice combinations and if you have read my previous posts you’ll know that I always opt for the Chicken version of green curry and my meal is sorted! Well, as they say, ‘change is the only constant’, I ended up trying the Thai Red curry in a vegetarian avatar and now I have doubts over my own claims, did I miss something this good all this while. The fine curry with hints of coconut went well with steamed rice, this makes me want to try the Thai Green curry, and keep an eye on my Instagram feed to know how it is.

You definitely have to visit Mobydick if you’re a steak lover, with a wide range of options this is one place that you can never get bored of. I had the Mushroom and spinach stuffed chicken that comes with a portion of rice and mashed potatoes. Filling? Hell yeah!

Overall, this is one of the best cafés that I have been to, there are so many options on the menu that it sure is gonna make your every visit interesting. Ambience wise, the place offers a laid-back setup and the high walls all around give it a roomy feel. Service is quick and that helps, especially if you are an IT guy whose office is in the vicinity or a college student who has got an hour’s break, then this is the place to be in! The dishes are all made with high-quality ingredients, they are priced very well and the quantity is generous … value for money, yet premium is what I would like to call Mobydick!
