I was here a month back for a nice round of Saturday lunch where we got to experience the new menu curated by Chef Vikas Seth who also takes lead at Sanchez, my all-time favourite Mexican restaurant in Namma Bengaluru. A laid-back afternoon it was and we were glad to catch up with Chef Vikas himself who started the proceedings with the signature Sriracha’s Som Tam which we all loved, it is a green papaya salad that’s prepared on your table. Maia – Eat, Bake, Mom!
We have many restaurants in Namma Bengaluru, some of them are functional, some are considered to be posh and some restaurants claim to use homemade ingredients, am sure whatever I mentioned up here doesn’t follow any sequence and probably sounds meaningless but what I want to convey is that the list of variety available here is literally endless! Maia is a restaurant that follows a very interesting concept, as the name itself suggests this restaurant is all about giving back to the mothers, the most important person in our life. It is not a typical restaurant where you walk in, order food and then scoot after paying the bill, there is a lot more that they have to offer! So read on to know more about this wonderful venture 🙂
Dhaba Estd 1986 Delhi – Marathalli, Bangalore
I’ve been working in an IT company for over 3 years now and one primary source of entertainment for us folks are the traditionally hosted Team outings which in most cases end up in a restaurant! Adding more salt to the wound is when you’re office is in typical localities, i.e around Whitefield or Marathahalli. So after trying out almost all the eateries in these localities in the form of various types of visits – via office, on my own and blog coverage, there was a period of lul. Not many interesting options were left, and then when I heard the news that Dhaba is opening in Marathahalli, I was like okay this is something that I need to check out as my previous two visits to their Indiranagar outlet were so so good. This 30-year-old brand from Delhi has been expanding gradually and this is their 9th outlet in India, and second in Bangalore.

Temptey’s – Milkshakes & More, BTM Layout
Milkshakes vs. Thick shakes? If you too are in this confusion then you got to visit Temptey’s. BTM Layout gets Bangalore’s first outlet and the place is so vibrant that will please you from the moment you step in.
Sea Rock – Speciality Seafood Restaurant & Bar, Seshadripuram
Seafood is comfort food to a lot of folks out there (including me). But in my case I usually don’t get to eat much of these dishes at home, reasons being difficulty in getting your hands on the best ingredients and complexity of preparation as the meat is overly tender when compared to other meats. There are a lot of seafood restaurants across Bangalore that can satiate your cravings, some of the new and some legendary. This post is about one such legendary place, Searock that is serving some of the most authentic coastal dishes since 1985!! This is by far the best seafood meal I have ever had and if you’ve been following me on Instagram then you’ll know what to expect from this post here, if not you definitely gotta read it to know more about what possibly can be called one of the best coastal cuisine restaurants in Namma Bengaluru.

Sotally Tober – New Cocktail Menu Launch
What is Sotally Tober … or was it supposed to be Totally Sober?! For me, this is the perfect example of a situation where you’re high on good spirits and start reading things upside down. Similarly, the place itself is very catchy in the eye – you find dim lighting all around, paint splash on the walls, chairs stuck onto the roof and many such titbits that make Sotally Tober a hit among the partygoers in Koramangala. A good party place has to have amazing music, great food, and exceptionally good cocktails … Well, this post will try to give you a glimpse of what you can expect from the new cocktail menu that was launched sometime last month.

FBAI Drinks Bar Crawl – Bangalore Edition
We’re all familiar with concepts like food walk, pub crawl and so on, and it has been long since I was part of any such event. I guess the last one was Food Walk at UB City where we covered close to 6 restaurants in two days. FBAI Drinks Pub Crawl was my first Pub crawl event (yes am serious 😀 ) thanks to Sameer and Salloni – founders of FBAI who along with Roshan from Aspri Spirits and Mitali from Morning Fresh for pulling this one out so well! The location was set to Indiranagar’s 12th Main area and it is one of those streets in Bangalore where you can probably find pubs at every 10 meters. The idea was simple – cover three pubs, grab a unique drink at each one of them, top it up with a magic potion that’ll cure your hangover, socialise with fellow bloggers and yeah, eat some great food on the go!
Happy First Birthday – Biergarten
Biergarten was on my wish list for a long time, but having stayed in Koramangala I always had a weird perception that why travel to Whitefield when we have better options here. I still remember going through few posts when the place was launched and the entire landscape part looked so much different than other watering holes in the city, my mind was set on the fact that next time we are in Whitefield and decide to go drinking it is going to be at Biergarten, but then time passed by so quickly that one year went by and I never got a chance to go here 😦 What brought me here was an invite to be a part of their 1st-year-anniversary celebrations and that’s what this post is going to talk about!

Massive array of Food and Beverage options combined with superb hospitality and awestruck ambience makes Big Pitcher the most sought after destination for all of your gastronomy needs. I was here on two occasions, one for the new menu tasting at Splitwood and second visit was to get a feel of the uber cool roof top section called Star Lounge. Splitwood offers a rustic feel which is perfect for a nice laid back drinking session. Star Lounge, on the other hand, is that cool person who likes to party and enjoys getting sloshed with a hookah pipe in his hands, the kind of place I would prefer to be in on a Friday night.
