Whitefield used to be one of those places where folks of Bangalore had to think twice before heading there, there are two main reasons for this: 1) Lot of IT parks which remind you of your workplace 2) Scarcity of good restaurants and pubs. Well, I can’t comment about the former as that is still the case with most of us 😀 but, in recent times there has been an upward trend in the quality of restaurants you find in Whitefield. I remember everyone in our office going gaga over Whitefield Social when it was launched, soon there were players like Beer Cafe, The Irish House and Biergarten that came into existence and all of a sudden you realize that Whitefield is not a bad place at all! This post talks about The Whitefield Arms which is a part of The Waverly Hotel & Residences group. TWA is a modern British styled pub located in a peaceful corner of VR Bengaluru.
Farzi Cafe – Gastronomical Illusion at its best!
Farzi Cafe, a place globally known for creating an illusion with its cuisine has finally marked its presence in Namma Bengaluru. Farzi Cafe is a part of Massive Restaurants Pvt Ltd which also houses two other multi award winning brands under them – Masala Library and Made in Punjab. It follows a concept of Modern Indian Bistro which means it amalgamates traditional global cuisines with Indian classics and adds drama in terms of contemporary presentations and culinary styles. A visit to this place is sure to leave you bemused as the experience does not stop at food, instead it wraps you under the blankets of curiosity and interest as the cafe incorporates molecular gastronomy and various table theatrics to keep you entertained till the end.
The Biere Club, 5th Anniversary Celebrations!
The Biere Club, Bangalore’s First Brewery witnessed its 5th Anniversary on 25th May. This called for a celebration as they completed five wonderful years of serving some of the finest craft beers and combinations of food that goes well with your drinks! Running a brewery is no easy task and achieving this to perfection continuously from five years is a commendable job. *Pat on the back* to the folks who are responsible to keep this place lively at all times. I was here for their Anniversary celebrations and this post talks about my experience here.
