A laid-back afternoon it was and we were glad to catch up with Chef Vikas himself who started the proceedings with the signature Sriracha’s Som Tam which we all loved, it is a green papaya salad that’s prepared on your table. But this is not it, read on to know more about our entire journey across all the courses of our meal.

BTM Layout gets Bangalore’s first outlet and the place is so vibrant that will please you from the moment you step in.

Lunch scenes at the newly opened brewery called The Whitefield Arms!
Whitefield used to be one of those places where folks of Bangalore had to think twice before heading there, there are two main reasons for this: 1) Lot of IT parks which remind you of your workplace 2) Scarcity of good restaurants and pubs. Well, I can’t comment about the former as that is still the case with most of us 😀 but, in recent times there has been an upward trend in the quality of restaurants you find in Whitefield. I remember everyone in our office going gaga over Whitefield Social when it was launched, soon there were players like Beer Cafe, The Irish House and Biergarten that came into existence and all of a sudden you realize that Whitefield is not a bad place at all! This post talks about The Whitefield Arms which is a part of The Waverly Hotel & Residences group. TWA is a modern British styled pub located in a peaceful corner of VR Bengaluru.

Their current count of restaurants stands at 18,875 spread across 118 countries (over 300 in India alone!). All their outlets look alike and this probably makes them a bit less interesting, but then folks at KFC have now come up with a new theme called ‘Hangout’ with KFC, an all-new concept store that is fun, earthly and vibrant.
Helloo Delhi – Koramangala
Koramangala doesn’t shy away from options when it comes to choosing a dining destination, the entire space is packed with every kind of restaurant you can ever imagine of. But then I personally feel that there are relatively few restaurants that cater to true North Indian cuisine. Helloo Delhi is one such place located at the heart of Koramangala, 4th block to be specific (lil ahead of Flipkart Signal when traveling towards Sony world), the brand is well established and their first outlet is located in HSR Layout which was opened 3 years ago.

I have visited the Indiranagar and Church Street outlets umpteen number of times and when I heard that it has now opened in Kalyan Nagar it was good news, mainly for people who stay close by as there are very few happening joints in the vicinity.

Three Dots & a Dash, Indiranagar
Three Dots & a Dash is probably that one place in Bangalore which takes you to the tropical setting of Hawaii the moment you step in. The name Three Dots & a Dash comes from a drink which was made by one of the greatest cocktail creators ‘Don the Beachcomber, and it symbolizes the letter ‘V’ in Morse Code. V stands for victory which by default means celebration and the drink here was created as a tribute to the American soldiers who fought beside him during World War 2. I was here as part of their anniversary celebrations along with other bloggers which also marked the launch of their new cocktail and food menu.
