I was here a month back for a nice round of Saturday lunch where we got to experience the new menu curated by Chef Vikas Seth who also takes lead at Sanchez, my all-time favourite Mexican restaurant in Namma Bengaluru. A laid-back afternoon it was and we were glad to catch up with Chef Vikas himself who started the proceedings with the signature Sriracha’s Som Tam which we all loved, it is a green papaya salad that’s prepared on your table. Farzi Cafe – Gastronomical Illusion at its best!
Farzi Cafe, a place globally known for creating an illusion with its cuisine has finally marked its presence in Namma Bengaluru. Tea Appreciation by Sublime House of Tea – UB City
Yes Bank Art Bengaluru 2016 in association with Sublime House of Tea recently hosted a bunch of enthusiasts for a Tea Appreciation event where Anamika Singh, a Tea-Taster by profession engaged the audience by sharing her extensive knowledge about Tea and everything that revolves around it. This was followed by a tasting session of different samples from Sublime House of Tea. The event also featured tea infused cocktails and a chicken preparation which was cooked under the influence of tea. I was here to experience this wonderful event along with other Tea lovers and aficionados, the purpose of which was a casual round of interaction aimed at equipping every one of us know more about Tea and spread good word about it.
The Biere Club, 5th Anniversary Celebrations!
The Biere Club, Bangalore’s First Brewery witnessed its 5th Anniversary on 25th May. This called for a celebration as they completed five wonderful years of serving some of the finest craft beers and combinations of food that goes well with your drinks! Running a brewery is no easy task and achieving this to perfection continuously from five years is a commendable job. *Pat on the back* to the folks who are responsible to keep this place lively at all times. I was here for their Anniversary celebrations and this post talks about my experience here.
SE01E05: UB City Food Walk at Cafe Mangii
Cafe Mangii is a cosy little place tucked in the corner of UB City 2nd level. Mangii has an all day menu serving you a handpicked selection of food and beverages, do check out their exotic wines section! Their elaborate offerings are spread across Mocktails- Smoothies, Cooler and iced teas when it comes to beverages and a vast classification which includes Soup, Salad, Small Plates (Appetizers), Fondue, Burgers, Sandwich, Pizza, Pasta, Risotto, mains and desserts! Well Yes, the menu is actually huge for a tiny place like this. The food here is an Italian affair altogether, Wood Fired Pizza being their Signature dish which is a traditional Italian preparation.
SE01E04: UB City Food Walk at Cafe Noir
Cafe Noir was our fourth stop on day-1 of this wonderful food walk in UB City. It is one of the most up-market cafes in Bangalore which is devoted to serve genuine and contemporary preparations from the French lands. Cafe Noir has a nice bistro like ambiance which lets you comfortably enjoy the French cuisine at its best. This place is determined to serve you all day with quality food from breakfast to dinner. Their menu is vast and covers a huge range of confections, beautifully crafted burgers and sandwiches along with wide varieties of eateries.
SE01E03: UB City Food Walk at Rasavora
Welcome back to the next episode of our UB City food walk. After indulging on some super awesome food in Fava and Caperberry, our next stop was at Rasavora – The Royal Kitchen. A place is known for its mysterious blends between Rajasthani and Gujarati cuisines. Rasavora brings you the the magical food from palaces and their royal kitchens. Everything you see here, right from the cutlery used to the presentation of food is a leaf straight out of royalty and it is associated with an equally rich gastronomic legacy.

So, our first visit was at Fava, a specialty restaurant known for its Mediterranean cuisine. Fava overlooks the beautifully built amphitheater and is airy enough to revive your senses. This restaurant is a brainchild of celebrity Chef Abhijit Saha, the winner of ‘Best Chef in India Award’ in 2013. He is also the man behind this exciting menu which offers an excellent selection of traditional dishes from the Mediterranean land.
