Sriracha – Contemporary Pan Asian Dinning, UB City

A lot of you must have heard of Sriracha, the popular spicy sauce that’s typically served in Vietnamese and Thai food, but in this post, I am going to talk about Sriracha that’s the newest Pan-Asian restaurant housed in the uber premium property of UB City. I was here a month back for a nice round of Saturday lunch where we got to experience the new menu curated by Chef Vikas Seth who also takes lead at Sanchez, my all-time favourite Mexican restaurant in Namma Bengaluru. A laid-back afternoon it was and we were glad to catch up with Chef Vikas himself who started the proceedings with the signature Sriracha’s Som Tam which we all loved, it is a green papaya salad that’s prepared on your table. Dhaba Estd 1986 Delhi – Marathalli, Bangalore

I’ve been working in an IT company for over 3 years now and one primary source of entertainment for us folks are the traditionally hosted Team outings which in most cases end up in a restaurant! Adding more salt to the wound is when you’re office is in typical localities, i.e around Whitefield or Marathahalli. So after trying out almost all the eateries in these localities in the form of various types of visits – via office, on my own and blog coverage, there was a period of lul. Not many interesting options were left, and then when I heard the news that Dhaba is opening in Marathahalli, I was like okay this is something that I need to check out as my previous two visits to their Indiranagar outlet were so so good. This 30-year-old brand from Delhi has been expanding gradually and this is their 9th outlet in India, and second in Bangalore.

Seafood is comfort food to a lot of folks out there (including me).  But in my case I usually don’t get to eat much of these dishes at home, reasons being difficulty in getting your hands on the best ingredients and complexity of preparation as the meat is overly tender when compared to other meats. KFC – Hangout Cafe at Koramangala!

KFC, Kentucky Fried Chicken is a subsidy of Yum! Brands and it is easily the most popular chicken restaurant in the world. KFC was first opened in 1930 and since then has has witnessed positive growth with time, there are umpteen options for a chicken lover and at the same time vegetarian folks haven’t been left out. Their current count of restaurants stands at 18,875 spread across 118 countries (over 300 in India alone!). All their outlets look alike and this probably makes them a bit less interesting, but then folks at KFC have now come up with a new theme called ‘Hangout’ with KFC, an all-new concept store that is fun, earthly and vibrant.

Koramangala doesn’t shy away from options when it comes to choosing a dining destination, the entire space is packed with every kind of restaurant you can ever imagine of. But then I personally feel that there are relatively few restaurants that cater to true North Indian cuisine. Helloo Delhi is one such place located at the heart of Koramangala, 4th block to be specific (lil ahead of Flipkart Signal when traveling towards Sony world), the brand is well established and  their first outlet is located in HSR Layout which was opened 3 years ago.

Three Dots & a Dash, Indiranagar

Three Dots & a Dash is probably that one place in Bangalore which takes you to the tropical setting of Hawaii the moment you step in. The name Three Dots & a Dash comes from a drink which was made by one of the greatest cocktail creators ‘Don the Beachcomber, and it symbolizes the letter ‘V’ in Morse Code. V stands for victory which by default means celebration and the drink here was created as a tribute to the American soldiers who fought beside him during World War 2. I was here as part of their anniversary celebrations along with other bloggers which also marked the launch of their new cocktail and food menu.

The one thing that strikes your mind when you hear the word Rayalseema is super spicy food. So I was all prepared to spit fire when I got an invite to check out this humble looking place located in Indiranagar called Rayalseema Ruchulu (RR), which translates to Taste of Rayalseema. The brand which was set up in 2004 brings out the best in traditional style cooking of the famous Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. I was here for lunch on a weekday along with a couple of friends, and this post here talks about my dining experience.
